2008-03-02 - Some new screenshots
A full featured Quake 2 model loader for the PSP, including a space partitioned rendering tree.
A rigid body physics engine. I'm rebuilding it from the ground up, and will be adding ragdoll support soon, and more complex collision detection.
2007-09-30 - MegaUpdate (with screenshots and downloads)
After over year, finally an update (and a big one too)! So, what have I been doing recently? I won first place at the wild democompo at BlockParty 2007, with a megademo on the Ti-85. Download the video capture and comment here. I've also started work on a Ti-8x raycaster, but that project is on hold. Currently, I'm programming for the Playstating Portable (I recently bought a PSP with 1.5 firmware), and it is proving to be a lot of fun. Additionally, I've been working with procedural textures and have put up an alpha build of the tool for download. Be sure to check out the updated projects and screenshots pages! I am also currently working on my own ultra-slim physics engine that is based off of the opensource ODE project. Last year, I reworked my entire raytracing engine and started adding some global illumination features, but that project has been on hold for a while as I have been short on time. Eventually I would like to work on a realtime raytracing engine. Here are some screenshots of this past year:
2006-05-08 - Update (with screenshots)
A small first update, mainly to the screenshots section. I've added the following raytracing images (don't forget to click here for more). In addition, a projects section has been added, and will in the future be a repository for my current ongoing programming endeavors. - Daniel Talagrand
2006-05-06 - New Site Up!
I redid the entire site from scratch (the previous one was horribly out of date, and actually used _frames_ (shudder).
There's also a spiffy brand new address: http://www.talagrand.eu ! Unfortunately, the site is pretty much void of any meaningful content right now (all the old pages and files were blasted to outer space), but you can be notified of the (hopefully) onslaught of upcoming updates through my rss feed. I have several projects brewing, and am going to need to add details and screenshots. However, if you really want my old stuff, try cruising around with an advanced ftp warpdrive.
This is my first XHTML strict wannabe site, and it's built on a php/mysql base (or at least wants to be). There's therefore bound to be a gazillion^10 things that could go wrong, so if it looks kind of funky in your browser, or just plain broken, feel free to contact me! Random comments and questions are also appreciated.
Well, that's about it for now. I'm expecting a good amount of stuff to go up within the next month. - Daniel Talagrand
